Competition is big especially for small businesses. 9 out of 10 small businesses fail in their first year. How do you compete with these odds?
Simple. Advertise!
Many businesses usually have a plan and a budget, yet most of them do not take into account for advertising. They rely on family, friends, neighbors and community to support and purchase from them. In the short term that may work, but what about the long term, after the first year?
Advertising reaches those beyond your circle of friends. Whether it’s listings, website, social media and or print, choosing which will reach potential clients / customers is the trick of it all. How do you choose the right medium for your business?
Let someone such as myself assist you in deciding which is best. I, like many others in advertising, have spent decades perfecting our craft, making sure your advertising targets the right audience. Choosing the correct medium, message, branding and advertisements, will ensure you greater success, and better yet, more revenue.
When planning your budget for the business, think about how much you want to spend on advertising, including the branding. A good rule of thumb is 10% of your budget for advertising. Also, when planning how to use those advertising dollars, make sure to spread it out over the course of the year and in different mediums. Spending all on a website and then having nothing left for other mediums or all spent at the beginning of the year, is a recipe for disaster.
